No. VELO is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch, while snus is a traditional Swedish product that contains tobacco. The two are used the same way, tucked under the top lip, which is why tobacco-free pouches like VELO are often called "white snus".
VELO is owned by British American Tobacco and is the company's flagship nicotine pouch brand. It launched in 2018, originated in Sweden and is now sold in 49 markets worldwide.
LYFT was British American Tobacco's earlier nicotine pouch brand. VELO replaced LYFT in a rebrand, so products once sold under the LYFT name now sit under VELO. If you are looking for a former LYFT favourite, its successor lives in the VELO range at the top of this page.
The dots are VELO's strength marking: the more filled dots on the can, the stronger the pouch. The exact nicotine content in mg per pouch is printed alongside. The range at 24Nico runs from 4 mg in the Normal tier to 17 mg in Ultra.
Tuck one pouch under your top lip and leave it in place; there is no need to chew or spit. A pouch can stay in for up to 30 minutes, per VELO's own usage guide. Used pouches go in the storage compartment in the can lid, or straight in the bin.
VELO renamed several flavours in a 2024 refresh. Ice Cool became Crispy Peppermint, Freeze became Freezing Peppermint, Polar Mint became Bright Spearmint, Tropic Breeze became Tropical Mango, Royal Violet became Purple Grape, Cooling Storm became Peppermint Storm and Watermelon Mint became Wintery Watermelon. The pouches themselves are the same; only the names changed.
Shift is a VELO line launched in 2025, and the change is in the pouch rather than the flavour list. It is cut in a shape VELO calls Comfort, so it sits more naturally under the lip, and it comes in a hexagonal can of 90% bio-based material. Shift pouches at 24Nico are slim, at 8 mg in the Strong tier, with 20 pouches to a can. The line covers cooling, warming and fruit-led flavours; the ones that followed the original Hot and Cool pair are named for the flavour pairing rather than carrying a temperature prefix.
Yes. The full VELO range is delivered across the UK, with VAT included in the price and nothing extra to pay on delivery. Age verification (18+) applies at checkout on every order. See our delivery page for the options available to your postcode.
Nicotine pouches are legal to buy in the UK. The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 classes them as nicotine products, separate from tobacco, and sets 18 as the minimum age of sale. The UK ban on oral tobacco does not cover tobacco-free pouches such as VELO. Rules can change, and 24Nico sells only to adults aged 18 and over.
A broad range reaching from Normal all the way to Ultra, in slim and mini formats, delivered across the UK. VELO is strongest in mint and menthol but carries fruit and berry throughout, and it is one of the few brands present at every tier above Normal. Prices include VAT, with nothing extra to pay on delivery.
VELO is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch brand owned by British American Tobacco (BAT). Launched in 2018 and originating in Sweden, VELO has grown into BAT's flagship pouch brand and is now sold in 49 markets. By the brand's own estimate it is the No.1 nicotine pouch brand in Europe, based on volume share in key European pouch markets as of June 2025.
VELO replaced BAT's earlier pouch brand LYFT in a rebrand, and many long-time pouch users still know the products by their LYFT-era names, or simply call VELO "snus". Several flavours were renamed again in a 2024 refresh, so a familiar variant may now sit under a new name with the same pouch inside.
The range runs across mint and menthol, fruit and berry, citrus, warming spiced and speciality flavours, plus limited editions. Mint has the widest strength spread, from mild spearmints in mini up to the coldest peppermints in Ultra. The warming family pairs a fruit or a mint with chilli or pepper rather than building the heat on its own. Speciality covers liquorice and elderflower.
Several also come as Zero variants at 0 mg nicotine.
Shift is a VELO line launched in 2025, and it changes the pouch itself rather than the flavour list. The pouch is cut in a new shape, made to sit more naturally under the lip; VELO labels the format Comfort. The can followed, with a hexagonal design in 90% bio-based material.
The line began as a warming and cooling pair, Shift Hot and Shift Cool. The ones that came after drop the temperature prefix and take their name from the flavour pairing instead, mostly citrus and tropical. Every Shift pouch at 24Nico is slim, at 8 mg in the Strong tier, 20 pouches to a can.
BAT sponsors the McLaren Formula 1 team, so VELO has appeared on the team's cars, and the deal reaches the range itself with limited editions. Those editions are in the Strong tier.
Four tiers, by nicotine per pouch:
Every can has VELO's dot marking, a quick visual guide to strength: the more filled dots, the stronger the pouch. Mini formats sit in the Normal and Strong tiers, while slim covers the full spread.

24Nico stocks 44 products from VELO for UK customers, 4–17 mg of nicotine per pouch in mini and slim format, with mint, fruit, eucalyptus among the flavours. In the UK they are often called VELO snus; every pouch is tobacco-free, and the strength is always per pouch, not per gram. VELO is the most searched pouch brand in the UK by a distance, and the range here runs from the 4 mg minis to VELO Extra Strong; the dots on the can rank strength within VELO only, so compare the per-pouch figure against other brands.
Prices are in pounds with UK VAT included and orders are dispatched from Sweden duty-paid, so nothing is added on delivery. Age is verified at checkout before a nicotine order is dispatched. → All brands stocked for the UK

On the Low | Normal | Strong | Xstrong | Ultra scale used across 24Nico, the VELO range starts at 4 mg in the Normal tier and tops out at 17 mg in Ultra. VELO's own dot marking runs alongside this: more filled dots mean a stronger pouch, and the exact mg per pouch is printed on every can. The strength filter on 24Nico uses this scale, so VELO variants compare like-for-like with the rest of the range.
Every VELO variant in the grid above is ready to order:
New to VELO? Start from your strength: the dot marking on each can and the strength filter make it easy to match a variant to your tier. To compare VELO with the rest of what we stock, the full nicotine pouches range is organised on the same scale.
