VELO is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch brand owned by British American Tobacco (BAT). From LYFT to VELO
VELO replaced BAT's earlier pouch brand LYFT in a rebrand, and many long-time pouch users still know the products by their LYFT-era names, or simply call VELO "snus". Several flavours were renamed again in a 2024 refresh, so a familiar variant may now sit under a new name with the same pouch inside.
The VELO range at 24Nico
The range runs across mint and menthol, fruit and berry, citrus, warming spiced and speciality flavours, plus limited editions. Mint has the widest strength spread, from mild spearmints in mini up to the coldest peppermints in Ultra. The warming family pairs a fruit or a mint with chilli or pepper rather than building the heat on its own. Speciality covers liquorice and elderflower.

The Shift line: a reshaped pouch
Shift is a VELO line launched in 2025, and it changes the pouch itself rather than the flavour list. The pouch is cut in a new shape, made to sit more naturally under the lip; VELO labels the format Comfort. The can followed, with a hexagonal design in 90% bio-based material.
The line began as a warming and cooling pair, Shift Hot and Shift Cool. The ones that came after drop the temperature prefix and take their name from the flavour pairing instead, mostly citrus and tropical. Every Shift pouch at 24Nico is slim, at 8 mg in the Strong tier, 20 pouches to a can.
VELO and McLaren
BAT sponsors the McLaren Formula 1 team, so VELO has appeared on the team's cars, and the deal reaches the range itself with limited editions. Those editions are in the Strong tier.
