Strength decides how a pouch feels far more than flavour does, so it is the axis to settle first. Every figure on this page is nicotine per pouch, the only number that compares fairly across brands, and the ladder runs six tiers: Low (0.1–3 mg), Normal (3.1–6 mg), Strong (6.1–9 mg), Extra Strong (9.1–13 mg), Ultra (13.1–29.9 mg) and Ultra Max (30 mg and above), the strongest pouches sold in the UK. UK searchers often ask for snus strengths; the tiers apply to every tobacco-free pouch we sell. In the UK these are often called snus strengths; the tiers apply to every tobacco-free pouch we sell.
Every product is placed in a tier by nicotine per pouch. Concentration (mg/g) is printed on some UK packs, but a large pouch at a modest concentration can deliver more nicotine than a small one at a higher figure, so per pouch is the number that compares fairly across brands and formats. A 6 mg pouch is a 6 mg pouch whichever brand made it, and a pouch sold as 50 mg is a 50 mg/g pouch that delivers 35 mg.
VELO's dots and ZYN's bars show strength within that brand's own range, not an absolute figure, and the same number of dots means different milligrams at different brands. Use the per-pouch number on each product page to compare across brands; the dots only tell you where a product sits in its own family.
Ultra Max is the top of our range: LEO Black Ice and LEO Frosted Ice, sold as 50 mg, deliver 35 mg of nicotine per pouch, and Siberia delivers 33 mg. That is well beyond the 20 mg ceiling most UK retailers stop at, and it is why the per-pouch figure matters. Ultra, from 13.1 mg, holds BAGZ 20 mg, ICE XL Super Strong and LOOP Hyper Strong. Both tiers are meant for experienced users with an established tolerance; a pouch that feels too strong tingles sharply and is best swapped for a lower tier. → Ultra Max · Ultra
New to pouches: start at Low or Normal and move up one tier at a time. Already using pouches: match the mg you use today, then adjust by format, since a mini feels lighter than a normal pouch at the same mg. Each tier page shows what sits either side of it. → Nicotine pouches for beginners · The strength guide
