Format changes how a pouch sits, not how strong it is. Slim is the standard and the format most of the UK range is made in; mini is shorter and less noticeable; large fills more of the space under the lip. The same flavour at the same milligrams can feel different across the three.
Slim is what most UK brands make and what most people use: narrow enough to sit under the upper lip without showing, with the full range of strengths and flavours behind it. Mini is shorter and holds less material, the format to choose for discretion or a lighter feel at a given strength. Large, sometimes called normal or original, is the fuller pouch with more presence and a slower release; it is where the Swedish all-white brands such as Lundgrens and DUNC sit.
Match the format to the occasion rather than the strength. A mini at 10 mg feels lighter than a slim at 10 mg because it sits against less of the gum; a large at 8 mg can feel fuller than either. New to pouches: slim at Normal. Want it invisible: mini. Want the fuller feel: large, usually alongside a higher tier. → Compare strengths

The standard format in the UK: a long, narrow pouch that fits between the upper lip and gum without showing. Almost every brand makes its main range in slim.
Yes, at a Low or Normal strength. The smaller pouch feels gentler and is easier to get used to; step up to slim once the format is familiar.
No. Strength is nicotine per pouch and is printed on the can. Format changes how the same strength feels: a mini feels lighter, a large feels fuller.
Slim, by a wide margin. Most of the UK range is made in it and most people never need another format.
Yes. Slim sits flat under the lip; large holds more material and shows more. Mini is the most discreet of the three.
