Onico Nicotine Free Pouches
Onico is a nicotine-free pouch brand from Swedish Match, on the market since 2006 and delivered to Ireland. The range stocked at 24Nico is the Pure White Slim line: slim, all-white pouches built on a cellulose base, with no nicotine, tobacco or caffeine. Prices in euro include VAT, with no customs charges within the EU.
About Onico
Onico has been a Swedish Match brand since 2006, more than a decade before all-white pouches became a mainstream format. Swedish Match built the first Onico pouches around flavours that resembled tobacco, and coloured them to match. Pure White Slim, the line sold here, is the all-white version of the same product: a pouch that carries flavour and nothing else.
What goes into an Onico pouch
Swedish Match classifies Onico as a foodstuff, not a tobacco product. The recipe is short:
- Cellulose base. The filling is plant fibre, with cellulose first on the ingredient list.
- Pouch material. Cellulose fibres, held together by a binding agent.
- Humectants and salt. Glycerol and propylene glycol keep the filling soft; salt and flavourings carry the taste.
- Nothing active. No nicotine, no tobacco, no caffeine.
Plenty of nicotine-free pouches carry caffeine as their active ingredient. Onico keeps the pouch clear of any stimulant, which puts the whole weight on flavour and fit.
How the pouch is built
Every Onico pouch at 24Nico is slim and white throughout. The surface is dry while the filling stays moist, which keeps drip low and holds the flavour steady through the wear. A slim pouch sits high and tight under the upper lip.
Flavours
Each Onico flavour is built around one clear idea, with a couple of supporting notes behind it. The character notes for each are set out in the range table on this page.

FAQ Onico
Does Onico contain any nicotine?
No. Onico pouches contain no nicotine and no tobacco. The filling is cellulose with flavourings, salt and humectants, and nothing in the recipe delivers nicotine, caffeine or any other active ingredient.
Is Onico a Swedish brand?
Yes, Onico is Swedish. It comes from Swedish Match, and the range has been on sale since 2006, well before the all-white pouch format it now uses became common.
What is in an Onico pouch?
Cellulose, water, glycerol, salt, flavourings, propylene glycol and magnesium hydroxide carbonate, with a sweetener in some flavours. All of those are food approved, under the foodstuff classification Swedish Match gives Onico. The exact list for each flavour sits on its own product page.
Is Onico the same as snus?
No. Snus is a Swedish tobacco product. Onico uses the same pouch format and sits under the upper lip the same way, but it contains no tobacco and no nicotine.
What does Pure White Slim mean?
Pure White is Onico's all-white pouch line and Slim is the pouch format. The pouch is white all the way through, unlike the brand's older and darker pouches, and narrow enough to sit discreetly under the upper lip.
How long does an Onico pouch last?
That comes down to how you use it. The dry surface and moist filling give an even flavour release that holds through the wear. Most people keep a pouch in until the flavour drops off, then dispose of it.
Does 24Nico deliver Onico to Ireland?
Yes. Both Onico flavours are delivered to any Eircode, with VAT included in the euro price and no customs charges within the EU. See our delivery page for the options available to your address.
